ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Attn: Lebanon County Republican Committee Members,
I’d like to take this opportunity to offer my thanks and appreciation to all of the individuals who volunteered their time and efforts to assist the Lebanon County Republican Committee during these last two years. The 2020-2022 election cycles were hectic, tumultuous, and at times…. sorrowful.
Although Lebanon County lost two dedicated public servants in 2021, I am confident that our county is well positioned for the future as our team of GOP elected officials have represented the residents of Lebanon County constructively and effectively.
Registered Republican voters in Lebanon County for the Primary Election Cycle of 2020 numbered 47,432.  I am happy to report that as of May 24, 2022 the number of registered Republican voters in Lebanon County sits at 50,045, an increase of 2,613 registered Republican voters in just the past two years.
The passage of ACT 77 has fundamentally altered how elections are conducted in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and has assisted in fostering a distrust in our electoral system of government. Many of the residents I have met in Lebanon County are deeply unsettled with our elections and this should be of great concern to all of our public officials.
The Legislative Reapportionment Commission and Pennsylvania Supreme Court have established the legislative and congressional district maps which will now exist until the census of 2030 is completed. Pennsylvania House Districts 98, 101 and 102 have been established and our GOP candidates for the General Election of 2022 are well positioned for victories in the Fall.
I am pleased to report that the entire geographical footprint of Lebanon County will remain in the 48th State Senatorial and 9th Congressional District. This is invaluable to Lebanon County residents and ensures our interests will be well represented in Harrisburg and Washington D.C. for the next decade.
In these volatile times, let us not forget that as Americans, we all have more in common than what differentiates us. Compromise, civility and respect for other people’s opinions should not be viewed with disdain. This should be welcomed as a sign of a vibrant and healthy democracy.
Again, thank you to the numerous people who offered their encouragement and support during my tenure as Chairman of the Lebanon County Republican Committee.  I hope that you feel I represented Lebanon County with professionalism, dedication and integrity during my time as Chairman. Accordingly, I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of the LCRC for another term as Chairman.

Respectfully submitted,

Edward W. Lynch Jr.
Chairman
 Lebanon County Republican Committee
